Yiannis has been fantastic to work with while buying my ex-charter monohull “Plan B”. Buying a boat in Greece while living abroad means putting a lot of trust in the agent you’re working with and Yiannis really acted in my interests to ensure the boat I bought was not only ready but had been prepared to a much higher standard than it would have been if I’d been dealing with the seller directly. Among other things Yiannis assisted with the following:
- He prepared all the paperwork and recommended a great Greek lawyer who took care of all the formalities
- He was able to recommend a very good local surveyor who did a professional job catching many small things that needed attention
- He organized the crane to lift the boat for the survey and liaised with the marina to get the necessary permissions
- He liaised with the seller to ensure all the remediation work identified by the surveyor was completed prior to boat handover
- He organized a marina berth the boat could stay in between my purchase of it and my arrival back in Greece for the handover
- He ensured the boat was cleaned and prepared for my arrival in Athens for handover
All through this process he kept me informed and was always available by either email, phone or WhatsApp to answer any questions I had. I would have absolutely no hesitation in using Yiannis again and when it comes time to sell the boat he’ll be the first agent I contact. I can highly recommend him.
