This cruising yacht has all you need to sail the Meds and beyond as a couple or a family. Our Bavaria 47 has four cabins (3 double, 1 bunk) sleeping eight people and a really large main cabin with galley and lost of storage space. We have meticulously maintained and improved our boat over the years and it is now a comfortable and safe place to call home-away-from-home. We live on board for six months each year.
The furling main and head sails are operated from the cockpit, and the bow thruster makes it easy to manoeuvre this 14.5m boat in tight marinas. Navigation instruments are networked and can be managed and displayed using a large Raymarine e125 touch screen in the cockpit, all adding to the on-board safety, as do many other safety features.
The sturdy stainless steel arch carries the solar panels which cover all our electricity needs during the summer. The arch also holds the davits to hoist the Highfield 3.1 m RIB (2015, with custom made cover) for longer trips. The Yahama F6 four stroke outboard (2015) allows us to explore and transport safely and comfortably. The 75 hp Volvo turbo-diesel engine (only 2750 hrs) gives the boat a cruising speed of 7.5 kts, only using 4.5 L of fuel per hour. Last year we had a full-size deck tent made to protect our boat from the elements when on hardstand. For more details request the inventory list.
